Mr. Lacey was born in San Gabriel, California. He was admitted to practice in California in 1989, and has broad litigation experience at both the trial and appellate court levels. He also is admitted before the United States District Courts for the Northern, Central and Southern Districts of California, and the Eighth and Ninth Circuit Courts of Appeals, and has been admitted pro hac vice in several jurisdictions.

Mr. Lacey has defended hundreds of litigated cases arising from professional negligence claims against a variety of different professions. In addition to trial and appeal matters, Mr. Lacey also has obtained successful results by way of dispositive motions, including demurrers, summary judgments, and judgments on the pleadings.

Mr. Lacey has lectured to professional groups and associations concerning malpractice prevention and risk management.
